Teachers and students in  elementary schools through access from their school.

The program was created to guide children to develop Social-Emotional Learning skills and aquire Life Skills in five areas:

  • Self-Awareness
  • Self-Management
  • Social Awareness
  • Relationship Skills
  • Responsible Decision Making

The goal is twofold in its core:

  • A platform that comes as a friend to children helping them develop self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, responsible decision making and relationship skills.
  • Enabling educators with tools to find themselves again in a pleasant, harmonious and productive human-centered classroom.

The process of building self-awareness, self-control, and interpersonal abilities necessary for success in school, the workplace, and life is known as social-emotional learning (SEL).
People with high social-emotional abilities are better able to handle daily problems and reap academic, career, and social benefits. SEL lays the groundwork for good, long-lasting benefits for children, adults, and communities through effective problem-solving, self-discipline, impulse control, emotion regulation, and more.

When we implement social-emotional learning in schools, children do well, schools triumph, and the entire society strengthens.

Picture it as learning the art of being human in the most beautiful way. It’s all about those essential ‘soft skills’ that help us manage our emotions, make friends, set goals, and be the best versions of ourselves.

Imagine SEL as your toolkit for life. It’s where we learn how to navigate the rollercoaster of feelings, understand others, make cool decisions, and build relationships that feel like warm, fuzzy hugs. It’s not just about acing tests; it’s about acing life!

SEL is like the secret ingredient in schools that turns classrooms into cozy, supportive spaces. Through fun activities and heartfelt lessons, it teaches students to be mindful, empathetic, and kind – not just to others but to themselves.

But here’s the best part: SEL isn’t just for kids. It’s a lifelong journey that makes us better friends, family members, and colleagues. It’s about growing up to be someone who knows their stuff and how to handle life’s ups and downs with a smile.

So, that’s SEL for you – a journey of the heart and mind, making the world a little brighter, one emotional superhero at a time!

Have you ever wondered what happens when we introduce Social Emotional Learning (SEL) into our elementary schools? It’s like planting a garden of skills and watching them bloom into something extraordinary. Let’s talk about all the fantastic things that happen when we nurture our little ones with the power of SEL.

1. Emotional Superpowers: Imagine giving kids the superpower to understand and manage their emotions. SEL does just that! It’s like having an emotional toolkit that helps kids navigate the rough seas of feelings, from the sunny days of joy to the stormy nights of frustration.

2. Friendship Galore: SEL is the secret recipe for making and keeping friends. It teaches our young stars about empathy, sharing, and kindness. The result? Playgrounds filled with laughter, classrooms where everyone feels included, and lasting friendships.

3. Confident Little Beings: With SEL, kids learn to set goals, make decisions, and believe in themselves. It’s like watching a tiny seed of self-esteem grow into a strong, confident tree. These kids are ready to take on the world, one dream at a time.

4. Problem-Solving Wizards: SEL equips kids with the magical wand of problem-solving. They learn to think things through, make intelligent choices, and find creative solutions. It’s not just about solving math problems but life problems, too!

5. Peacemakers of the Playground: SEL teaches kids how to resolve conflicts with words, not just actions. It’s about understanding each other, finding common ground, and shaking hands (or maybe a high five!) at the end.

6. Happy, Harmonious Classrooms: When SEL walks into a classroom, it brings harmony. Teachers find joy in teaching, kids love learning, and the classroom becomes a happy, supportive community where everyone thrives.

7. Lifelong Success: The skills learned through SEL don’t just stay in elementary school; they walk hand-in-hand with kids into adulthood. We’re talking about thriving, well-rounded adults who can handle life’s challenges gracefully.

So, when we bring SEL into our elementary schools, we’re not just teaching; we’re transforming lives. We’re creating a world where every child is emotionally intelligent, socially skilled, and ready to realize their dreams. That’s the magic of SEL – the gift that keeps on giving, from the playground to the boardroom!

Our materials are all written by licensed experts and reviewed by licensed therapists and other professionals before they are released on the platform. All content is aligned to cover the five competencies set forward by Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) which is the leading organization advancing the development of academic, social, and emotional competence for all students.

Our curriculum, material, and method, in addition to the personalization of each student’s library, align with an evidence-based approach that not only promotes the teaching of SEL but also strengthens other crucial skills like comprehension and reading. Our content delivery system offers a wide range of social abilities to help students behave better in class, deal with the constantly shifting social environment, navigate their emotions, make valid social judgments to solve problems, and comprehend established social norms.

Soon parents are able to access in read-only mode the material covered in class and not their entire platform.

Schools and districts frequently wonder how to evaluate their students’ social-emotional skills. Asking teachers and students for feedback can serve as a social-emotional learning (SEL) assessment that is as informal or formal as desired.

Schools and districts typically decide to take a course of action that falls between these two. The teacher can administer this quick assessment a few times throughout the academic year using the HM SEL assessment we have developed. It is automated on the platform and results are saved on each student’s profile to help the teacher access previous results. We offer recommendations based on a student’s score. We can also point schools in the direction of randomized control trial (RCT) assessments which might be helpful for students who might continue to score low in the HM SEL assessment.

The best way for teachers to use the HM SEL assessment:

  • Answer the short questionnaire for each student 4-weeks after the new academic year has begun
  • See the comprehensive results as well as the results per competency
  • See the HM SEL assessment suggestions that acompany each result
  • Answer the short questionnaire for each student at the end of the academic year
  • Evaluate improvement and next steps by comparing the two assessments

The test consists of 30 questions to evaluate all competencies and provide a detailed and comprehensive score and suggestions.
